Hi everyone, I took a trip to Montana and saw the land of the Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir tree, with mountains. It was fantastic and my brother Tom and sister-in-law Kathy were wonderful, as was Patrick.
The only thing we didn’t do that I would have liked to do is go fishing–maybe next time.
The semester began and I am once again sitting in on Professor Chin-Tai Kim’s philosophy class, this time Ancient Philosophy. I have difficulty keeping up with him even though he is in his 80s, but I do my best and have learned loads already.
Played banjo the other day, and on my new fiddle, and it was so fun! Always reminded of the Lewis Family and how great they were and some of them still are who are still living.
Sickness: a solid week of sickness, but finally getting better. I should be good to go to Prof. Kim’s class on Tuesday.
Life is very pleasant lately as is the weather. My Philosophy of Religion class was canceled for lack of students (only 3), but I bet the next semester it will fly and I will do an even better job than I would have this semester.
My dreams continue to be very involved, possibly because I’m sick. I watched nature shows, Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and an episode of Friends which was unusual for me, because I could ‘t do anything but watch TV because the sickness was fairly bad earlier today.
My dear grandmother Sylvia Carpenter went to heaven on September 17th, just after her 92nd birthday back in 1995. I celebrate her every day when I look at her picture on my dresser. She was an extraordinary human being, and I know she is looking down on me and laughing from time to time.
Goodbye for now, and may the Crawfords have a great time in Montana!
