Hi everyone, I am enjoying this incredible Fall weather. The trees are lagging behind; usually they are at their peak around October 20th.
Dr, Kim’s Ancient Philosophy class is going wonderfully, and I am reading the Timaeus to get Plato’s view of God which I am going to contrast with Aristotle’s view of God for my term paper.
Had a wonderful violin lesson this week with a new teacher, who focuses on just the things I like; we did Bach’s Gavotte and the Coventry Carol. In Instrumental Ensemble we are doing Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Bach’s Prelude in C Minor (Ave Maria), and Mussorgsky’s The Old Castle. Going along great with me playing piano and Melody the violinist.
Roscoe is doing well and we are both eating better, trying to lose a few pounds. I am getting excited for Jim’s (banjo player) and my Christmas gig on December 28th; we are going to do six Christmas songs mixed in with our usual bluegrass fare.
Doing well and hope you are too.
