Wow, college is in full swing now. I had to sing “Over the Rainbow” in Class Voice, plus we have a choir concert tomorrow, and I finished my German Midterm with a 110 out of 106, so I got them all right, but Kapitel 4 (chapter 4) seems to be somewhat harder with the modal verbs and telling time. But we have until November 12th to complete it. I am working on my piano gig in December and have about 40 songs which I will probably pare down to about 30 for the two-hour gig. They are all mellow songs and it was fun picking out the mellowest songs for the gig, like Theme from Love Story, Debussy’s Reverie, Some Enchanted Evening, Somewhere My Love, Summertime, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, and so on.
I got up around 4 a.m. and wrote a song about doing chores that I tentatively call the Cleaning Song (like the Spinning Song), and emailed it to my collaborator to see what he thinks. I was pretty proud to get several verses and two versions of the chorus written. Now I need a melody and chords.
I finally nailed down the three minor scales and the Mixolydian and Dorian scales too for our upcoming Ear Training Midterm on November 9th. We are taking dictation of little melodies, and we have to be quick about what interval we are hearing, etc.
I thank God for an interesting life and I pray that I sing well tomorrow in both the church and the college choir.

Your life is so full of activities! I love it!
It’s like being an undergraduate again, only doing Music. Thanks!
