Hi everyone, it’s about midterm time and I am very busy with all my classes. Tomorrow I get to go to Mandel Hall at Severance Music Center (otherwise known as Severance Hall) and watch soprano Renee Fleming, Simone Dinnerstein pianist, and the Emerson String Quartet.
I had my Amazon jingle shortened and sent it out to my professor with some melodic changes in the verses so it was not so monotonous.
I am looking forward to a piano gig in December, which will represent the first time I have played piano in public since I played with the Marshmellows in high school some 40 something years ago. I am really excited and want to play all sorts of pop and show tunes and jazz as well as classical, and of course Christmas tunes since it is December. I will really have to practice, but that’s okay.
Don’t have a lot to say today, except that my schedule is really full and I seem to be making friends at college, which is nice. See you around!
Well, I am enjoying my Women Authors on Women’s Experiences class I am auditing, and this week we looked at Betty Friedan and the “problem that has no name.” So glad I grew up in a time that was good for women.
